Royal Tichelaar Makkum Plate Dutch Polychrome Delft Hand Painted Floral
A Royal Tichelaar Makkum plate in Dutch polychrome Delft style — hand-painted with floral motifs in the full spectrum of the Makkum palette rather than the blue-and-white of the more famous Delft tradition. Royal Tichelaar, founded in 1594, is the oldest operating factory in the Netherlands and one of the few remaining producers of authentic Dutch hand-painted earthenware. A genuine artefact of Dutch ceramic history.
